Primary Teachings
Welcome to this section, which covers the basic Biblical teachings about the Kingdom of God.
If you don’t know anything about the Kingdom of God, this is the place to start. I will introduce the Biblical teaching in a very elementary and understandable way, starting with all the texts that mention the ‘Kingdom of God’ or the ‘Kingdom of Heaven’ in the New Testament.
After that I will consider why the subject is so difficult to grasp and introduce you to many of the interpretations of the subject over the last 100 years.
Then, I will systematically share what I believe to be sound, basic Biblical teaching of the Kingdom of God.
If you are a more seasoned, theologically-minded Christian, this will probably seem elementary to you but there will be much that will engage your mind and stretch your understanding as we proceed. Most of all, for everyone, this study will galvanise your relationship with God, open your eyes to the splendour and majesty of Jesus, the King, and give you a new perspective on the eternal purpose of God.
